BENFER products which meet the LEED criteria The LEED certification was developed and introduced in the United States in 1999 by US Green Building Council. The certification evaluates and certifies the environmental, social and economic sustainability of buildings. The method of certification provides for the attribution of a certain score to each building recognized on the basis of the verified conformity to several requirements and LEED credits. Benfer products contribute to reach the LEED credits because they contain recycled or local materials. Benfer supports its customers in obtaining building certification according to these criteria by providing all necessary information in a clear manner. Suitable surfaces are floors made of concrete in accordance to German Industrial Standard DIN 1045, heated and unheated cement screeds according to DIN 18560, old hardened tile surfaces and rapid hardening cement screeds (for example SOLIDONE PRONTO). The already planned surface, it is not suitable as a wearing surface without additional coating.
